Robot Wars set scrapped
According to a report in the Telegraph, it seems the old Robot Wars set has been lost for ever.
"The owners of the battle arena used on television show Robot Wars have failed in a High Court claim for more than £300,000 after it was sold as scrap for only £250."

Police and Bae are developing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to spy on UK residents.
I think its only a matter of time before the present helicopter crews are replaced by kids operating UAVs from their XBOX.

The Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation is proud to introduce ‘Campus Party Europe.’ This event will be held in Madrid from April 14th to April 18th of 2010, celebrating the Spanish Presidency of the European Union and organized by Asociacion E3 Futura.

This event will bring together the world of Internet protagonists from young scientists, to digital creators and innovators of the internet. Together they will participate in a special edition of the biggest on-line event of technology, creativity and digital culture in the world (www.campus-party.eu).

We in the robotics area of Campus Party Europe are looking for the most interesting and innovative projects and will hope to have your unique expertise to rely on in order to recommend us some of those projects. If you are developing an exciting application, software or device related to robotics, or you know of anyone, professional or amateur doing it please contact us.

With 800 participants selected from the 27 member states of the EU this event is sure to be a unique experience and an incredible exhibition of digital innovations. Activities, conferences, project exhibition, workshops and team challenges will be organized around three principal areas:
